Mission Statement

The primary responsibility of the Deaconess Ministry is to be servant leaders for Christ, and to assist the Pastor and Deacons in the teaching and care of the Neabsco Baptist Church members.

Under the spiritual guidance of the Pastor, and in accordance to Titus 2:3-5, the Deaconesses are to assist in promoting spiritual growth and developing the spiritual lives of the women and girls of the church; serve as role models for the young ladies of the church and the community; support and cooperate with the Pastor and Deacons in visiting members of the Church; in the preparation and administering of the ordinances of the Church which are preparing and setting up Holy Communion and instructing and preparing all female baptismal candidates for baptism.

The Deaconess Ministry is to also support and assist the Missionary Ministry in the care and needs of the females in the church. When there are sick and shut-in members, they are to provide support and prayer. They will also administer Holy Communion to sick and shut-in members as needed. This is done in accordance to their Keep-In-Touch list (KIT).
